Emily Wade
Teaching Artist / Artist Therapist Intern

From shapes and colors to art history and design, Emily has taught young artists from ages 2 to 19 at public schools in both Baltimore, MD and Arlington, VA for nine years. She has also provided art instruction to patients and caregivers in cancer centers, including Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. An artist and an art teacher, Emily is currently an art therapy graduate student with a passion for empowering others to find emotional expression through art making. Emily is excited to join Project Create as an intern this fall. Her favorite mediums include watercolors, photography, mixed media collage, and altered books. It’s no secret, Emily loves all shades of blue.
